SVP Livestock Guardians
The Turkish Shepherds are our breed of choice.

Our dogs guard our flock of 50 sheep from coyotes, black bear and bobcats here in Northeastern Alabama.
​
Our sheep lamb on pasture in February and rotationally graze throughout the year. We do not have a barn, and our dogs protect our sheep outdoors 24/7 every day of the year.

We are not expecting any LGD Pups at this time
Learning the Ropes
Daisy as a little puppy but always serious
It is VERY important that a livestock guardian is raised with the livestock. They must be exposed to and imprinted upon the sights, sounds, smells and the language of the livestock they will guard from day 1.
Daisy & Koda
Daisy is an Aksaray Malaklisi and Anatolian Shepherd cross. Koda is a Registered Anatolian.
These beautiful dogs are serious about their job and need the right environment to thrive and be happy.

Cloud is an Anatolian Shepherd with a touch of Komondor
Cloud is a close guarding type and never leaves her sheep.
She is incredibly submissive and easygoing with trusted humans but wary of strangers. Â Cloud eagerly accepts strangers that we bring in to visit. Â She does not allow a stranger to come in without the shepherd.
